Walking Buddha Amulet with Blue Topaz
These Buddhist amulets were made by monks to solicit donations for the monastery. While most depictions of the Buddha are of him sitting reclining or lying down this particular amulet depicts the Thai Walking Buddha. The Walking Buddha represents the Thai kings who were known for walking amongst their follower and having a closer, more direct relationship with the people: 'He who walks among them rather than in front of them'.
This amulet is set in sterling silver with a beautiful blue topaz, adding to the feeling of serenity. The pendant measures 1.75" tall by 9/16 inches wide and comes on an 18" sterling silver wheat chain.
